WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?
You can buy tickets from the Glasgow 2014 Ticketing website, or via the Ticket Hotline on 0800 458 2014. For Accessible Tickets please call 0808 161 2014. Callers from outside the UK should call +44 (0) 141 387 2014.
You can also buy tickets face to face and with cash from the new Glasgow 2014 Ticketing Office which is open 09.00 - 21.00 Monday to Friday in the heart of Glasgow, George Square.
The resale programme was open from 13-26 June. The official resale programme was the only authorised way to sell any Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games tickets.
WHY WAS THE RESALE PROGRAMME ONLY OPEN FROM 13 – 26 JUNE?
The official resale programme is not an on-going service – it was a specific time period, communicated in advance, where past purchasers were able to offer for resale tickets they were no longer able to use. In order to ensure that the tickets can be resold in time for the Games, the service was closed on 26 June to enable these tickets to be put back on sale from 28 June.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY TICKETS ARE SOLD?
We can’t guarantee your tickets will be sold and your monies refunded, but previous experience has shown that a large proportion of returned tickets are quickly resold.
If they are resold, you should expect to see money credited to your account by 18 July (minus £2.00 admin fee per ticket).
THE RESALE PROGRAMME IS NOW CLOSED BUT I CAN NO LONGER USE MY TICKETS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you can no longer use your tickets they can be passed on to your family or friends, as long as any payment you receive doesn’t exceed the face value of the ticket and they accept the Ticketing Terms and Conditions. You may be asked to provide details of those individuals who you have passed tickets to.
CAN I ADVERTISE MY TICKETS FOR SALE?
No, under the Ticketing Terms and Conditions you cannot resell, trade or otherwise transfer a ticket. The resale platform was the only authorised method of publically selling Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games tickets that can no longer be used.
WHAT PUBLIC TRANSPORT WILL BE AVAILABLE DURING GAMES TIME?
Your Glasgow 2014 ticket includes the cost of public transport in the local area on the day of your event. Further information about transport during Games Time will be announced in 2014.

CAN GLASGOW 2014 HELP ME FIND ACCOMMODATION DURING GAMES TIME?
Accommodation during Games time is provided by individual establishments, and isn’t managed or controlled by Glasgow 2014. Although it might be common practice for accommodation providers not to offer discounted or promotional rates during exceptionally busy times, previous Games experience has shown that rooms are likely to become available closer to the Games as room blocks held by companies and websites are released.
Remember too that Glasgow is served by an excellent rail network and so a more immediate option may be to consider exploring accommodation options outside of the city centre and in nearby locations. There is no additional charge for using Minicom or TypeTalk Operators, all callers will be charged for the call they make just like a standard telephone call. The actual charge and text rebate is dependent on the telephone service provider.
